Hey, y'all!

I know I haven't been around much, and I'm sorry for that!  Dealing with the house, life, work, harping, and Civil War reenacting has taken over my time!!!

My last blog was when I got my house.  Well, I love it!  I never thought I'd have to prove that I was "SINGLE" so much in my life.  I even had to sign a paper JUST to say that I am a single person signing as single!  Weird....  Then again, I never pictured myself single at 29, and never dreamed of buying a house on my own!!

Harping has been going really well!  In January, I got to play with KANSAS (as in "Dust in the Wind"), and I joined the Musician's Union which has already completely paid for itself!  Wedding season is almost here, and it's going to be a busy one!

Last year, I got to sing back up to Lee Greenwood ("God Bless the USA") which was SO much fun, but I only got to see his back the whole time.

I finally started Civil War reenacting.  I've only been looking into it for at least 5 years!  I met a guy on Yahoo Messenger 5 years ago, and finally had the guts to meet him this year.  Such a great guy!  So, he's been helping me a little with the ropes, and I'm totally crushin'... too bad I'm now practicing abstinence...

Today is the day!!  I'm closing on my first home at 1:00 this afternoon.  It's making this morning last FOREVER!!!  

I'm going to have a house... and a yard... and a pecan tree... and my own piece of the earth that I can truly call my own!!

Now, I'm thinking.... PARTY!!!!
